Membership terms
What you are agreeing to when you join the club, in the plainest language we can write it.

The agreement
Joining the club creates a membership agreement between you and Beta Bots LLC, which does business as The Home Club. How the agreement is made depends on how you join.
Joining online: the confirmation checkbox at checkout is your agreement. The exact charge is stated on that screen, and your membership starts — and your card is charged — the moment you confirm.
Joining by phone: when we set your membership up for you, we email you a member agreement to sign. That membership is pending until you sign it, and we do not charge you before that signature. If you never sign, the membership never starts and you are never billed.
Term and billing
Membership runs as a term you choose when you join — monthly or annual — billed once at the start of each term. The price stated when you agree, on the checkout screen or on your emailed agreement, is the price for that term; the exact amount and your first billing date are stated before anything is charged.
- Term length
- One month or one year, whichever membership you pick, starting the day you confirm online — or, for memberships set up over the phone, the day your signed agreement is received.
- Billing frequency
- Once per term, at the start of it: monthly memberships are charged every month, annual memberships once a year. The membership you pick names its own price and cadence at checkout, and the annual term costs less over a year than twelve monthly charges.
- Introductory pricing
- A first-year rate may differ from the renewal rate. When it does, both numbers are stated up front — on the checkout screen or on your emailed agreement — before you agree.
- Renewal
- Membership renews for another term of the same length at the end of the current one — another month on a monthly membership, another year on an annual one — at the renewal rate on your agreement.
- Taxes
- Any applicable tax is calculated on your membership and shown separately.
What membership includes
Every membership includes three things, on every job, for as long as you are a member:
- Priority service
- Your job is scheduled ahead of non-member jobs.
- 10% off the work
- Ten percent off the cost of any work or services provided.
- No service fee
- A technician comes to your location free of charge — no trip charge and no diagnostic fee.
Membership is not insurance and not a home warranty. It does not pay for your repairs; it changes the price and the priority of the work you ask us to do. Member service rates vary by service and by state, and you are told the exact price of a job before work begins.
If a payment fails
A failed renewal does not end your membership immediately. It moves into a grace period, during which you remain a full member with every benefit, while we retry the payment and contact you.
- Grace period
- Seven days from the failed charge.
- During grace
- Membership stays active. Priority, the 10% discount and the waived service fee all still apply.
- After grace
- If the payment is still unresolved after seven days, the membership is suspended and member pricing stops applying to new work.
- Reinstating
- Call us. A suspended membership can be brought back once the outstanding amount is settled.
Cancelling
Call (866) 477-4041 and we will process your cancellation. There is no retention script.
You can also cancel yourself, from your member account — no call, no retention script. Two choices, and they differ: "cancel at period end" stops the renewal and keeps your membership active through the term you have already paid for; "cancel now" stops the renewal and ends the membership the same day. Either way the renewal is switched off the moment you confirm, and no refund is issued for time already paid. Your account shows the end date as soon as it is set.
Paying for work
Membership and the work itself are billed separately. You approve the price of a job before it starts, and you pay for that job when it is done. Payments for completed work are, as a rule, not refundable once you have approved the work as complete — if something is wrong with what we did, call us and we will come back and put it right. That is the remedy, and it is a better one than a refund.
Text messages
If you give us your mobile number, we text you about your own service: a one-time code when you sign in, and confirmations and updates about the appointments you booked. This is not a marketing program — we do not text offers, and joining the club does not sign you up for promotional messages.
Message frequency varies with how much work you have booked. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to stop all Home Club texts, START to turn them back on, or HELP for help. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. For what we do with the number itself, see the text messages section of our privacy policy.
