What we collect, why we hold it, and how long we keep it — for homeowners, members and the technicians who apply to work with us.

Who this covers
Beta Bots LLC, doing business as The Home Club, collects information from three groups of people: homeowners who contact us, members who join the club, and technicians who apply to work with us. What we hold differs for each, so they are listed separately below.
Homeowners and members
- Contact details
- Name, phone number, email and service address — so we can reach you and send a technician to the right door. Kept while you are a member and for seven years afterwards, because job and tax records have to be retained.
- Job history
- What we fixed, when, and which technician did it. This is the point of the club: the person at your door has been to your house before. Kept for seven years.
- Payment records
- Amounts, dates, and the last four digits and brand of the card used. Kept for seven years for tax and dispute handling.
- Calls and messages
- Calls to the club line may be recorded, and we keep the texts and emails we exchange with you about your jobs. Kept for two years.
Full card numbers never reach our servers. Card details are captured directly by our payment processor and stored in their vault; what we hold is a reference to it, plus the last four digits so you can tell your cards apart.
Technicians who apply
This section is the notice at collection for the technician form on our home page. If you are applying from California, it is also the notice CCPA requires us to give you before you type anything.
- Your contact details
- Name, mobile number, email. Purpose: to contact you about contract work. Kept for two years from your application.
- Your trade and experience
- Trade, years of experience, the ZIP code you work out of. Purpose: to decide whether there is work for you where you are. Kept for two years.
- Your business credentials
- Whether you hold your own trade license, carry your own liability insurance, and have your own vehicle. Purpose: to confirm you operate as an independent business. Kept for two years.
We do not ask about criminal history, salary history, age, or medical status on the application form, and we do not want you to send it. If your application progresses to verification, identity documents, background checks and tax forms are collected by the specialist providers who run those checks — on their own pages, under their own notices. We receive the outcome and a reference number, not your Social Security number, your date of birth, or your ID images.
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with other contractors.
Text messages
We use text messages for three things, all of them about work you asked for or work you agreed to do: one-time sign-in codes when you sign in, service and appointment updates for homeowners who requested service, and job dispatch offers and job status updates for the technicians contracted to us.
Homeowners give us a mobile number when they request service or when they ask us to text a sign-in code, and the consent language sits directly beside the button that sends it. Technicians give us a mobile number during contractor onboarding and agree then to receive dispatch texts. Message frequency varies with your jobs. Message and data rates may apply.
Reply STOP to any message to stop all of them, or HELP for help. Opting out applies across every Home Club text program, not just the message you replied to — if you stop dispatch texts you also stop appointment texts. Reply START to turn them back on.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. The only companies that see your mobile number are the carriers and messaging providers that have to carry the message to your handset.
Your rights over your information
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. If you are in California, those are rights you hold under the CCPA, along with the right not to be treated differently for exercising them — and, for sensitive information like a government ID number, the right to limit how it is used.
Ask by calling (866) 477-4041. We will verify who you are before acting on the request, because handing someone else's home address to a stranger who called and asked is the failure this step exists to prevent.
Some information we have to keep even after you ask us to delete it — completed job records and payment history carry legal retention requirements. We will tell you plainly what we kept and why.
Location
When a technician is on the way to you, we track their location during that trip so we can tell you when they will arrive. That is trip-scoped: it starts when the job is accepted and stops when it is finished. We do not track technicians outside of the jobs they have accepted, and we do not track homeowners at all.
